Do Not Go is a poetic exploration of family and forgiveness. Tim is suffering from a degenerative disease that has attacked the intellect and he once took so much pride in. With lives of their own, Tim’s children are having trouble juggling the responsibility of caring for their father. When Gerald, Tim’s only son reluctantly takes on a larger role it seems as if his frustration with his father will boil over until a series of events allows Gerald to value his father in a new light.

FOUR DOORS

As part of a filmmaking challenge, this short was entirely made in 24 hours, from the first letter of the screenplay to the final cut. However, due to Cuba's extremely slow connectivity, uploading it to the Internet took us much longer... Accessing Internet is very difficult on our little island. Only a privileged minority has email accounts or access to a limited number of websites. Ernesto is about to be one of the privileged ones.

Home is an edited short created from 6 different rolls of 8mm film. There is no mic in a super 8 camera, unless the filmmaker carries around an addition microphone and 8track recorder that accompanies the camera. The footage was shot in various locations around Nova Scotia, where the creator was born, and Tofino, where she now lives.
